Mmm. I wonder. Call it conjecture on my part, but what happens to a body when you stab out it's heart?

[ This world... but those are some broad assumptions on his part. About more than one thing. ]

[ Action ]

[ But as for the main part of what Masaomi Kida is doing today, he's hanging out by the fountain, standing on the edge of it with arms wide. Weakness. Weakness is what might destroy them, huh? He wonders if that's individual, or if that's the weakness of a people. He wonders what weakness actually means. Despite this, he's not with Linda for once, and there's a smile on his face. It doesn't meet his eyes, but he's hawking around for anyone in the square, particularly people he knows. And he's holding in his hands two... playing cards?

And when he spies someone, he'll have to bound up to them and ask: ]

Hello! Hello~! Let's play a little game, huuuh?

[ Because he's older now. Because it's the end, and because what else is there left for him to loose. He'll play a game which has him terrified. ]

I don't know about that. But what would kill someone in my world my only dent some of the folks here, so there's something different.

Not everything living needs a heart to begin with.

[a half-smile] Well, technically, most living things don't have a heart. [he's just gonna go with biology over metaphor, here, that's more his purview]

I was thinking of mushi [oh Ginko when are you not], but it's true of single-celled organisms on any world, I'd imagine.

Mm. [a raised eyebrow] Compared to their numbers, we're just an anomaly, eh?
biophilia: (smirk | it's what I do)

[personal profile] biophilia 2015-01-21 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
[sounding a little amused] What, an anomaly?
biophilia: (neutral | scarf pull)

[it wouldn't ruffle his opinion much one way or the other-- he doesn't well you enough for those kinds of truths. Fact? Fact is free.]

It's not so much of a belief as just looking at things relatively. We might be unique, worth protecting-- but we're in the vast minority.

Speak for yourself.

[personal profile] biophilia 2015-01-21 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
But why'd you ask, in the first place?
biophilia: (hmm | listening)

[personal profile] biophilia 2015-01-21 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
Mm. To this place, you mean?

[he's been practicing filters again; there are some people he'd just rather not ... ]

Well, there's hope-- and there's what's likely.

[a sharp exhale of smoke] This place has always been unstable.

I don't know how safe it is to speculate about this stuff... [but these are just hypotheses, not a plan of action]

And I don't know enough about the nature of the organism. Depriving it of food seems the most obvious answer-- but that's exactly what it's best adapted to prevent.

[somehow this whole damn situation is making a kind of sense it never made before, since beginning to think of Luceti itself as an organism]

I suppose what happens after depends on how closely the planet and its-- [organism, consciousness, will?] heart are really bound.

Personal-- [a hum] there's no way around unfinished business, there.

Yeah? [with his usual even-toned affect; it invites elaboration or dismissal, equally]
