Specifically, he is standing on the ceiling of the grocery store and has his journal propped up on one of the shelves to record him being on the ceiling. He's doing this to be swagilicious, and you are free to walk in on him or see the video, but he begins with a laugh and a nod]

Greetings, greeting Luceti! I know, I was thinking I'd roll with the mood of love we've had for a while now and set up some dates, but I didn't find any chocolates in the grocery. I took this as a sign that the time for steamy romance might not be just now, and I've decided to request of you something I don't usually do! [He spreads his arms wide and begins to pace... on the ceiling. He's really straining his chakra control here and anyone who knows the look for the signs will notice that despite trying to look flippant, he is concentrating quite a bit.] Namely, does anyone wish to try one of those fabled spars with me and my partner? I promise, it won't be something you regret! [And with a wink, and releases himself from the ceiling. He flips himself in the air as he falls and lands on his feet. He groans when he does because that impact was harder than he thought it would be, but he switches the journal off afterwards.

It's not about how much you build, it's about what you do with it. Feet is the most difficult place to gather chakra. Just try building some in your hands or something first, and work your way from there. For morning chakra exercises, I gather chakra at a specific place, hold it there, and release it to the rest of my body.

Of course I do. But people respond to different training styles differently. Shikamaru's is more laid back, the methods I learned were more handson.

[ Tenten briefly line faces. A mumble of "Well lucky me" is audible. She briefly sweeps the feed with her eyes before nodding. ]

Got it. I'll be there in ten. [ There shall be no puns made about this. Unless Masaomi picks up on it. ]

[Eyebrows. They wiggle. But he'll be waiting for her on a bench outside of the grocery store. and he assumes she didn't get that last message because she was hurrying out]

Did he really seriously just say that? The look on her face briefly crosses with a mixture of shock and sudden agitation. That was just gross. She's going to double check the walls when she's home and make sure there's no mysterious hole in the wall. ]

[ Regardless of Tenten's state of mind, she is able to shushin over to Masaomi's location relatively quickly. ] Hey, Masaomi! [ She waves to him while donning an icy smile. ] I tried looking for a place called Ten, but I couldn't find it. [ Her teeth grit as she, clearly annoyed, informs Masaomi that she did hear that. ]

[oh so she heard it? He's by now sitting on bench. However, when she comes closer he leaps to his feet (his Pikachu, next to him, does the same) and he flourishes into a wink at her]

I wouldn't worry, it's a please deep in my heart.

[And he jerks an index finger right at his chest]

Yeah, your heart. [ She thinks he's confused heart for pants. She turns around and starts to walk back towards the grocery store. ] Shall we practice in here? How full are you? [ An empty stomach makes it hard to concentrate chakra! ]

[There might as well be a record scratch here as he narrows his eyes and sighs] I'm not hungry, Ten-chan. I'm of a good stomach to be doing chakra control, which, I might add, I've been doing for months.

[ :T ]

Oh, I'm sorry. How dare I didn't recognize your astounding progress. [ Her voice is dry, and very sarcastic. ] I was just checking. My teammate, Lee, used to be unable to build enough chakra to do somethings unless he had a full stomach, even after a couple of months. He relies primarily on taijutsu now.

You can doubt me as much as you want, I don't really care. But right then, you were effectively doubting Shikamaru, and I can't abide someone doubting him in something he excels in. Just to be clear.

[That's all in a gravely serious tone]

Buuuuut, [And now backina more jovial tone] I suspect I'll never get ninjutsu, let alone genjutsu down. Probably would only ever qualify for you genin, and I'm not even there yet. But if you want us to get to work, I'm at your disposal.

[ Tenten's voice lowers. That accusation certainly didn't sit well with her. Her brow furls in a way that's more annoyed than confused. ] I'm not doubting Shikamaru. It's a pretty miraculous achievement to have someone be able to practice chakra when they've been unaware of it for all of their life. Most people in our world can't stand on ceilings even if they possess a little bit of chakra.

[ Her voice lightens on the other topic. ]

You'll probably be able to use some ninjutsu. Genin can use many techniques, even if they're basic. However, they're very useful. Even then, people can make improvements once they find a specialization they excel in. [ And she's determined to find yours, Kida!!!!!!! ]

[Still irreverently... he doesn't think/possibly doesn't realize how impressive his achievement is. He has some understanding of it, but from his knowledge basically all pre-genin (who start as early as like... six) can do what he's done so far. And that many people in their village even if they didn't go on to be ninja graduated from the academy.

That said, he waves a hand] Earth element, according to the chakra paper. But I'll do whatever tests you want.

Hm. Well, there's no Earth element specialists here. I can only manipulate the shape of chakra, not any specific element. [ Oh darn it! ] I can at least teach you some useful techniques. Hm, first of all, I want you balance yourself on one foot first. [ Part of maintaing chakra has to do with balance and your ability to regulate yourself through various surfaces. ]

[He rolls his eyes at that. And he goes to balance on one foot. And then he manipulates that one foot to leap up into the air and onto a nearby bench, still on one leg.

[ Tenten spends an abnormal time looking at his feet before looking up and applauding. ] Very good, Masaomi. Follow me. [ She pulls out a kunai and walks towards the store. Upon arriving there, she cut lines into the wall, and, subsequently, the ceiling. They're about Masaomi's foot length apart, and, there's a brief pause in the middle of the line making two of them. ]

[He puts his hands behind his head and walking normally follows her. He closes both eyes before they arrive, but when they do and she starts to cut, he opens one. Huh...]

All right. Now, Masaomi, I want you to focus on keeping your heel and your toe exactly on these two lines. They should be spaced out enough for this to be possible. [ She drops from the ceiling before landing on her feet. Do you know your hand seals?

Uh huh... [He nods to himself and then goes to place his foot on the wall. Visualize the wall as the ground. He does this, and takes some steps up on the wall and goes to line up with her lines. Hm. This is a bit hard, but... he's got this]

You can do it, Masaomi! I have faith in you! [ She'll also say other general shonen phrases of encouragement as Masaomi takes each step upwards. ]

[Normally, this would really be no issue. But... it's a little problem now. He's been showing off all day, so he's been expending a lot of chakra. Still, after some careful steps he's right there where she ought to be]

Excellent! Now, just mimic the hand signs I'll start to make. [ She makes a bird hand seal. ] Do you know what this is? [ She'll ask follow up questions if he gets this right, otherwise she'll just educate. ]

One of the hand seals. Bird. [He mimics it through. He has to crande his neck a bit to see her, but]
