[Masaomi is wearing this... (also this bracelet) and he's upside down. Specifically, he is standing on the ceiling of the grocery store and has his journal propped up on one of the shelves to record him being on the ceiling. He's doing this to be swagilicious, and you are free to walk in on him or see the video, but he begins with a laugh and a nod]

Greetings, greeting Luceti! I know, I was thinking I'd roll with the mood of love we've had for a while now and set up some dates, but I didn't find any chocolates in the grocery. I took this as a sign that the time for steamy romance might not be just now, and I've decided to request of you something I don't usually do! [He spreads his arms wide and begins to pace... on the ceiling. He's really straining his chakra control here and anyone who knows the look for the signs will notice that despite trying to look flippant, he is concentrating quite a bit.] Namely, does anyone wish to try one of those fabled spars with me and my partner? I promise, it won't be something you regret! [And with a wink, and releases himself from the ceiling. He flips himself in the air as he falls and lands on his feet. He groans when he does because that impact was harder than he thought it would be, but he switches the journal off afterwards.

[Masaomi's fist hits the rock, and he's very thankful he wasn't using his full force then. Because it might have broke his hand. Linda's Iron Tail though, easily cleaves (at least partially) the rock sheet. She starts, surprised at that, intends to just tough through it hit Korra again as Masaomi leaps back after the punch.

...And then the plates fly at them. Because Linda's Iron Tail mostly destroyed hers she's pretty okay and simply needs to jump to evade what's left of it. Masaomi, however, pulls out his Impact Dial from his waste. The Dial is basically a curly flat shell, and holding it out against the sheet as it comes at him... it absorbs the kinetic energy of it. In layman's terms, that means it simply stops moving. Not wanting to push his luck if she pushes it again though, he goes to step to the side and start to run around her.

At least the dial now has a charge.]

[Running around her, huh? Korra earthbends a wall up in his path to distract him while she goes after Linda. The girl's heel connects with the ground sending a chunk of rock and earth up into the air. Quickly she punches the mound of dirt and rock at the creature.]

[Earth wall- Bah. With a running leap he lands on it ro run up it and then over. He imagines, particularly dealing with Linda, she won't have remembered he can run up walls... and he surprises himself by managing control on the fly, wow.

As for Linda, she tries to swat that rock right back at Korra with an Iron Tail. Rock tennis]

[Korra growls at her inability to land a blow so far, and quickly redirects the rock Linda hits back from fly at her face to flying at Masaomi. She ignores the rat for a bit to do a follow up and chase after the rock to her male opponent. If the earth doesn't hit him she'll try with her fists.]

[No, that totally hit him. He was not expecting that, and while he braces himself, he can't even put the dial in the way and it socks him right in the gut. Ow. He exhales, because that hurt.

...He wonders if that broke a rib. He hopes not.

as for Linda though - mistake. Or so she'd argue when she charges up her cheeks and makes an Eletric-charged tackle into Korra's side. Spark]

[Because Korra was ignoring Linda she gets hit with the attack. She howls in agony, and memories of Amon's lieutenant with his electric kali sticks come to her. Rage boils in her blood, and adrenaline pumps through it. The girl grabs the animal, throws it at the ground with as much force as she can, and stumbles back. She's a bit dazed, and her body feels weird and weakened. Korra puts a hand to her head trying to get her vision straight.]

[Linda is hurt.

But not too hurt. Glass cannon though she may be, she's also a pokemon. Masaom is still dazed and beat up, but with her trying to re-orient herself, Masaomi's got more than enough time to leap down and close the distance between him and Korra. Thing is, he's trying to end it quick- he's trying to press the topmost button of the impact dial into Korra's side or gut.

So there's a good chance he won't get close enough to make what amounts to a full palm contact. If it does connect though, it'll release the kinetic energy it absorbed from Korra's earlier Earth Wall thing. So the force of that into where the shell connects.

If it doesn't connect though, he's close to Korra and a bit flat-footed while Linda is recovering on the ground]
