~♥THIRTY-SEVEN♥~

[Masaomi is wearing this... (also this bracelet) and he's upside down. Specifically, he is standing on the ceiling of the grocery store and has his journal propped up on one of the shelves to record him being on the ceiling. He's doing this to be swagilicious, and you are free to walk in on him or see the video, but he begins with a laugh and a nod]

Greetings, greeting Luceti! I know, I was thinking I'd roll with the mood of love we've had for a while now and set up some dates, but I didn't find any chocolates in the grocery. I took this as a sign that the time for steamy romance might not be just now, and I've decided to request of you something I don't usually do! [He spreads his arms wide and begins to pace... on the ceiling. He's really straining his chakra control here and anyone who knows the look for the signs will notice that despite trying to look flippant, he is concentrating quite a bit.] Namely, does anyone wish to try one of those fabled spars with me and my partner? I promise, it won't be something you regret! [And with a wink, and releases himself from the ceiling. He flips himself in the air as he falls and lands on his feet. He groans when he does because that impact was harder than he thought it would be, but he switches the journal off afterwards.

...Feel free to see him in there, of course. He'll be waiting for responses there after, sitting in a chair eating an apple with Linda the Pikachu doing the same next to him]

[It certainly is--we would know since, once Linda manages to chomp down somewhere on Pansage, it seems to snap it out of it's daze thanks to the new pain it's feeling. It shakes her free and opens it's mouth wide, as if preparing to potentially Bite down on the Pikachu as well on reflex...]

Pansage, perhaps here is a good point to stop at. [Holding up a hand now, indicating for it to stop. Pansage makes to give Cilan an "aww come on" look...but then it seems he's right since it ends up wobbling and sitting down on the ground, appearing too worn out to stand and clearly in need of a break. Even if it did get in another attack, it likely could have fainted pretty soon anyway.] Paa...

[Yyyyeah, his remaining two Pokemon are just as "anti-electric friendly" when it comes to strategies to have to resort to using on them--they're kind of worse than Pansage in that regard, to be honest. Speaking of which, Cilan has taken out Pansage's pokeball, giving it a "Thank you for your hard work, you did great" before it disappears back into the ball and then turning his attention back to Masaomi and his Pikachu.]

It looks like you and your Pikachu may have even more impulsive tastes than I first predicted! Ah, but it helps make things more interesting--opponents who think of unexpected tricks are always the most exciting opponents to have. [Despite having lost this round, he still seems pretty cheerful.] Do you wish to end things here or are you still thinking about battling further against any of my remaining Pokemon?

["hungry for moe" huh...that's quite an interesting typo there...]

Well, I suppose it can't hurt and I don't like saying no to a challenge...but I can't promise that continuing down this line will guarantee you the taste of victory this time. [Out comes the second pokeball...] Let's see if you'll still be as confident against my next vintage Pokemon--come out, Stunfisk!

[And the Pokemon that is released is...wow what is this thing? It looks like a mudfish or flounder of some kind like you'd normally find possibly swimming in the water, and yet it seems just fine where it's been sent out on land. In comparison to his more emotive Pansage, it's sort of just giving Linda and Masaomi a blank look at the moment...yeah...]
cilantro: (cilan please stop being so kawaii)

[Sup Masaomi, you just continue getting that blank look for your troubles when you wave at it--maybe some blinking but not much else. Cilan doesn't seem fazed by it's supposed lack of interest in their opponents. Honestly, it's like that with almost everybody it first meets...]

Sure--it's a dual-type Pokemon: Electric and Ground. So I'm afraid Electric-type attacks still won't have an efficient taste when used against us. Do you want to make the first move again, or should I this time? [Either way he already has a plan of what to do, so it doesn't quite matter which one of us strikes first.]
cilantro: (class I think it's time for exposition)

Hm, I had a feeling that taste might make an appearance again... [But Fake Out is one of those moves that there's just no easy way to avoid it, not to mention that he seems confident enough to not even bother trying to dodge it this time--Stunfisk noticeably winces a little from the attack, but then it's quick to go right back to looking blankly at them again...not enough to quite faze it like it did the first time the attack was used on Pansage.] Let's be sure to keep up the pace this time--use Mud Bomb!

[There, that gets some emotion out of it finally. Stunfisk narrows it's eyes as if determined now as it proceeds to form and launch a ball of mud, aimed right for the Pikachu--specifically, it seems to be aiming to try to hit her in the face with it.]
cilantro: (let's see your counterattack to this!)

Hm...well, I suppose there's not a whole lot we can do from here. Stunfisk, let's take to the water as well!

[Stunfisk leaps--and for a land fish with limited mobility, it looks like it's able to jump high enough in order to get around on land. Nonetheless, it tosses itself into the water too.]

Use Camouflage! [Linda, if you're the type that's able to open your eyes under the water, you might get a glimpse of Stunfisk in the water now too, staring at you...until it suddenly vanishes, as if having turned invisible somewhere in the water. Where did it go...?]
cilantro: (if a ducklett crosses the road...)

[However, Linda might find that it's rather hard to locate where Stunfisk went--it's as if there's hardly any electrical currents at all running through the Pokemon at the moment, apparently keeping rather abnormally still in the water rather than trying to get anywhere close for an attack. Unless it decides to move, it doesn't look like it's gonna be making itself obvious where it is anytime soon, and Linda can't exactly hang out in the water forever like most water or fish-based Pokemon can...

And Cilan isn't exactly giving any attack commands at the moment, just giving the water a look as if wondering the same thing of where the heck his Pokemon disappeared off to.]

...Hm. It looks like it's taste in stealth is as mysterious as always.
cilantro: (oh let me count the ways)

...Well, I suppose it's kept itself hidden long enough, otherwise it would be unfortunate if this battle began to lose it's exciting flavor... [He doesn't lean down towards the water like Masaomi did earlier to give it a command, but he does cup his hand around his mouth like an imitation of a loudspeaker.] Stunfisk, jump out and use Scald!

[There's a long pause for a moment, as if perhaps Stunfisk couldn't hear the command.

But then, perhaps before anyone could potentially start humming the Jaws theme, Stunfisk suddenly leaps upright out of the water a few feet away from Linda, flapping it's little fins erratically to keep itself in the air. It opens it's mouth to spray the Pikachu with a blast of...well, scalding hot water, before landing back on the ground outside of the spring.

And while it's true that Water-type attacks aren't super-effective at all against Electric-type Pokemon, getting hit with hot water is still risky, especially since it can inflict a Burn status if Linda's particularly unlucky...]
cilantro: (oh my this is an interesting taste~)

[Stunfisk actually looks surprised for a split-second, maybe even a little fearful when the Aqua Tail comes crashing down on it. It can't really dodge it, so it's forced to just brace and bear with it, eyes closed for a moment in pain...]

Impressive, very impressive~! To think that you would use an attack with such a sharp and powerful taste like that...normally, that could have been the end of us...

[But as you may have noticed, the key word there is "normally"--the Stunfisk's eyes open again, having withstood the pain as it shakes the water off...and then it actually smirks now, making a noise as if it's laughing, when before it had been acting bored with everything...]

Admittedly it was a bit of a gamble on our part to use Camouflage before, but it looks like our risk paid off...incidentally do you know how the Camouflage attack works, Masaomi? The user blends in with their surroundings to try to hide from their enemy...and in order to create the perfect camouflage, one must also change their type to suit their environment... [Which means you used a water-type attack...on a Pokemon whose type changed from ground/electric to water, since it had used it's camouflage attack while in the spring. It's also why it became harder to detect in the water, it's electric-typing having been changed to water and producing fewer and weaker electric currents in it's body for the time being.] Stunfisk, use Camouflage again.

[Stunfisk laughs a little more before it suddenly vanishes and disappears like it did before--and since it's not in the water this time when using the attack, it's type has changed from water to grass(?), thanks to the ground it's now sitting on. Cilan raises a hand as if to give another command...but then he pauses slightly though, rather than giving an attack that would be a game ender.]

...Normally I would be tempted to push on with our next attack, but it looks like your Pikachu has already reached the peak of it's flavor for this fight and is going to submit to the taste of exhaustion soon. Do you still want to keep going anyway, or would you like to call the end of the match here? [Yes, we'll give you the choice to stop now if you want, 'cause otherwise it's probably gonna end up being a Mud Bomb to the face from who knows where Stunfisk is currently sitting at the moment.]

[Stunfisk reappears back into view (it hadn't actually tried to move from it's spot where it disappeared yet), looking a little disappointed for a moment that they're calling an end to the match here. We were just getting into it and didn't even get to go in for a final attack...but Cilan leans down momentarily to pat it--it's okay derpy mudfish Pokemon of ours, we think you still did great.]

Well, that attack you used before certainly had an ingenious flair to it. [Cilan straightens back up and holds a hand out, offering a handshake.] While I still stand somewhat by my tasting I gave of your skills earlier, it's clear that you and your Pikachu make a good combination together! That was a battle with quite a thrilling taste to it!

[Stunfisk is back to looking kind of bored again, but it waves a fin at Linda--we can't really...shake hands, but that's the best we can do to at least try to say the same.]
