[Action]

[This post serves as a follow-up of this thread and takes place on the final day of the event. Now-

Prince Masaomi is out looking for the girl who left their shoe laying around. A very pretty girl, to be sure! The problem is, he can't quite remember who it was. After all, there are a lot of girls he interacts with quite regularly! So, today, he is out and about looking for every girl or princess he can find to have them "try on" the "shoe" that he has found. To see if he might find his love.

This thread is technically joint with [livejournal.com profile] rideslink, but she'll be hiding in Masaomi's shadow for most of the threads and thus threads will not be three ways until she "comes out" - so don't worry about it until we give you a heads up.]

[Katara's glare follows poor Midna into Masaomi's shadow before her attention returns to her poor toes. Unfortunately, silk moccasins do not provide the same type of protection as her normal shoes, and as those fangs are freakin' sharp, there are two small drops of blood appearing to seep through her shoe.]

What was that? You could have warned me!

[She glares at Masamomi now before turn her attention to taking off the shoe - if any part of her costume will let itself be removed. (She will soon find it will not.)]

[Katara doesn't really consider feet and ankles to be areas of which she has to be concerned for guarding her modesty, so as long as nothing draws either of their attention to the fact that feet and ankles lead up, Masaomi should be relatively safe.

'Relatively,' because Katara is still annoyed.]

I just said it wouldn't.

Masaomi! [Yup. There's the blush, and Katara quickly moves to arrange those long skirts completely over her legs. Funny that he should ogle those, really - even when wearing the two-piece Earth swimwear that she wore over summer, Katara was still careful to wear a skirt of some sort over the bottom half. He is treading on some thin ice here.]

Don't give me that! [Progressively getting more embarrassed and red. She shouldn't have to spell this stuff out, she saw the direction his eyes were going - and for a girl who's been in Luceti two years without wearing pants on their own, spelling it out would be incredibly uncomfortable.

Katara abruptly decides that she doesn't want to have this conversation.]

I'll take care of it myself. Don't you have a princess to find?

[The half-glare with which she is offering this way of escape suggests that he'd be wise to take it.

Ah. [He glances at her a moment longer. His eyes linger - this time not on her legs but on her face. She really is gorgeous. Flustered like this, a bit annoyed, well... it only is highlighted more, as he sees it. It's her charm - different than Saki's, but still intoxicating. He shrugs once]

I've still got a compulsion to look, yeah. Guess we weren't meant to be. [He said with a shrug and a very forced smile. He doesn't move, despite telling himself to]

[...that smile is really pathetically forced, man. You're good, but Katara's known him a while now. She has no idea what's bothering him, but the fact that something is making him make that face like that is enough to put a slight damper on her annoyance.

It's just a stupid experiment.

[Carefully, Katara turns around on her seated position, pointedly keeping her skirts close to her legs as she does so, in order to turn and dip both feet in the fountain. The water soaks her skirts, her blood-stained slippers, and her wound. She'll be able to disinfect it and bend the blood and water out all without removing the shoe this way.]

Just go finish your story. You'll feel better when it's done. Try not to let your 'shoe' bite anyone else.

[He shifts. He's not sure if he wants to say more - clarify that no, she deserves more than this experiment was giving her in this instance. How much he wished that she was the one. But, no. That would just needlessly complicate everything]

[Even though seeing him again so soon is probably... not exactly high on Katara's list of priorities, having him go away and leave her to her humiliation and recover from the vague sense of violation and just - ugh, what was that? - is rather high.]

If you like. I'll probably just head home after this. I don't like being in town without my waterskin.

[Luceti's a lot safer now than it was when she first got here. But has she mentioned that people have tried to eat her TWICE this experiment? Not to mention Midna chomping on her toes.

At least the costume change left her with her own jewelry. The ever-present water-filled glass armband that Allen made for her is still on her arm.]
