[Action]

[So Masaomi Kida has a plan today. Namely, he's out to kidnap (for her own good) Katara. There's a few times he could do this. He considers going for her before school... but he's not a morning person and neither is she. After school feels like too little time, so he's opted to pull her aside towards the end of lunch (to hopefully evade Sokka), saying that he has forgotten something (which'll later evolve into "show you something" among other excuses). Well, him and Linda (because he's taken to bringing the pichu along to school, lately) And from there... the adventure begins.

Hours of inane things ensue, not to mention a handful of not-quite arguments about how late it is getting. Feel free to run into them more or less anywhere: item shop, Azzip pizza, various floors of various community buildings,Rec Center, south side of town, north side of town, generally more or less anywhere. Chances are you won't even need to be the first to speak, because you run a good chance of running into them talking! This'll be any time between lunch break at school and oh, early evening

Sooo~ what's dragon even mean? Fire breathing?

Uhhh...well? She's not like my other dragon--Toothless. He has wings and can, yeah, breathe fire. But she obviously doesn't have wings and so far, doesn't breathe fire. So I guess it's a bit different for dragon Pokemon.

[Yeah, he really has no idea.]

Well what sort of things does she do?

[Levelly. he's actually genuinely curious]

She's got a mean leer.

[Katara's tone is mildly encouraging and amused.

Okay, so. She probably shouldn't be encouraging this. But that was still one of the cutest things ever.]

[Kyle nods. YOU BET SHE DOES. The Pokemon doesn't quite pick up on her teasing tone, but Hiccup does, and he laughs a bit uneasily.]

Yeah, she's got the leer, and scratch, too. What does your Pokemon know?

Well... she was born with Volt Tackle, actually.

[Egg Moves.

Gold was surprised, so he says this sheepishly]

[Yup, just listening again.]

[...Wow that sounds twenty times more badass than leer and scratch. Hiccup tries to not look too impressed.]

Sounds...neat. I'm sure that a dragon type probably learns some pretty cool moves, but...we're not there yet.

Did you have Gold check it out with his pokedex? He's apparently a super-egg-caretaker, so chances are she might have some special potential you don't know about yet?

[After all, he had no idea she had inherited an egg-move]

He did, buuuuuut this kind of Pokemon isn't in his Pokedex. Too new, I guess.

[Apparently he needs to talk to THE SUBWAY BOSS who sounds completely intimidating.]

[Weird. That's... totally weird. But oh well, he nods]

New? How can an animal be new?

[Katara looks at Kyle, smiling at her and including her in the conversation.]

You're new, huh?

[Hiccup shrugs.] As far as I understand it, back in their world, new Pokemon are discovered all the time. Or maybe it's a regional thing. Maybe Gold's Pokedex only works for his area.

Or both. [A pause, and he considers it. The way they talk about regions, pokemon. He doesn't know all the details, but he looks at Linda, keeping a thoughtful expression] I don't think the different parents of the world are in great contact with each other for them. So it could be unknown to his pokedex because it only is filled out for a few regions.

[And yet more listening.]

[Hiccup nods.] Could be. But...in any case, I'm pretty short on information on her kind. I need to figure out who its parents were so I can learn more about it.

Well that shouldn't be too hard. There's maybe twelve or fifteen pokemon here, tops.

Did you ask Gold who Kyle's parents were?

[His stance shifts a bit.] Yeah. He said some guy called the...Subway Boss.

[Yeah.]

...Seriously?

[Who'd even want that title]

...that's only one of them, right? Who's the other one? And who was their trainer?

That's...a good question. To which I...don't know the answer to.

[Which suddenly seems pretty irresponsible. Gold had volunteered the information about Ingo, but who was the other parent's trainer?]

[He looks the axew up and down. Looking at it's general shape...] My money's on Feraligatr or Explotaro, unless it's not among the ones I lived with at all.
