Hahaha, don't worry, I'm pretty sure I was going to mangle the pronunciation there anyway, so I went with the given name. Still, dropping the "-san" for someone I just met... that's very forward - what you're asking me.

In my experience, the world can be pretty negative. [Just watch a newscast, really, or read the paper. She shouldn't need to explain more than that.] But it has a few good points, too.

Strikes me more as a state of being than advice, honestly. So in that respect, yes.
